Recall queue

Recall — spaced retrieval that predicts forgetting

Recall is the memory engine of Meyshan Med: one FSRS scheduler behind every card on the site. Answer what is due and rate yourself honestly. Reviews are scheduled when a memory is likely to be forgotten, using an estimate rather than an exact prediction. Decks you build in Card Studio and decks a Lecture Rescue session generates all land in this one queue.

How to use it

  • Open Recall and answer the cards that are due — say the answer before revealing it.
  • Rate yourself honestly: Again, Hard, Good or Easy. The rating decides when the card returns.
  • Use cloze and image-occlusion cards for anatomy — hide the labels, rebuild the map from memory.
  • Cards you created in Card Studio and decks accepted from Lecture Rescue appear in the same queue.

Limitations — read this

  • FSRS optimises timing, not truth: rating yourself Easy on a wrong understanding schedules the error further away. The confidence buttons exist to catch exactly that.
  • A new deck needs a few days of honest ratings before the intervals become personal.
